Q: How long have you been creating art for?
A: I did photography in high school and have been painting for about 5-6 years.

Q: What do you take away from art?
A: For me, my brain runs at 120mph 24/7 , this is a time for me whenI can stop thinking about other things in the world and sit and work on one task. It is almost a meditation and a really fun one at that.

Q: Where do you see yourself career wise in 5 years?
A: Live painting, and helping with these galleries is amazing, but I plan on going back to school for my masters so I can teach college level classes is my ultimate goal. I find it infinitely inspiring and rewarding to teach and be taught by young artists that want to be there learning.

Q: What inspires you?
A: Nature, and other artists. The absolute beauty in so many things and in untouched nature is insane. While it can’t ever be perfectly emulated or mimicked I like to do my best to show how I see its beauty and share it with the world.

Q: Are you involved with your community? If so, how?
A: There are so many communities of art and the one I have found myself most attached to is the live painting community, I have painted with hundreds of awesome painters and learned so much while traveling and painting with these friends . I also have helped with live art direction and curated at a couple festivals.

Q: What is your biggest fear?
A: That something in life will get to me  down so badly that it will make me give up on creating and I will start to live a life that doesn’t creatively inspire me what so ever.

Q: What’s your favorite thing to do with your time off from life?
A: SWIM. Colorado doesn’t have too much water but it makes it even sweeter when I do get a taste.

Q: Have you always felt comfortable with your medium?
A: No! I had know idea what I was doing at first and I still don’t at times to this day. I was completely foreign to paint when I started, but loved the way it moved and the way I felt doing it, so slowly but surely it took over my life. With any skill if you have true dedication I feel you can teach yourself anything even if you aren’t a “natural”.

Q: Why do you want to be an artist?
A: Because I can make things that have the ability to remove the viewer from the world we live in today if only for a few moments, and the joy and happiness it brings them.

Q: What are you limitations?
A: Getting distracted with every day life, and not allowing myself the time to create.
